My Students

I work with 20 wonderful students who are in need of supplemental materials to support their academic development. My students are in kindergarten through fifth grade. They all struggle with math, reading, and writing.

The problem is that our school has no Title I funding.

My students are at a disadvantage just because of the school they attend. If they attended other schools within our district, who do have Title I funding, they would have an abundance of appropriate materials.

My Project

My young students are struggling to identify numbers and count correctly. They get frustrated with paper-pencil activities because fine motor is difficult for them. My students need motivating math materials that hold their interest.

The "It's A Snap" math program has hands-on boards and counters that my children will love to use!

They can grab the preprinted board and attach the corresponding number of counters for engaging early practice with recognizing numbers, associating numbers and quantities.

The "Magnetic Rods Kit" will give my students counting practice that they will actually enjoy! The wooden rods are magnetic and show a number at the top. All kids love magnets! These materials will encourage the kids to keep practicing!
