My students need new toys and learning manipulatives. The "toys" we have in this classroom are so old and broken. They would truly benefit from receiving new, creative, up-to-date toys and learning materials.
My Kindergarten class this year is very eager to learn and love being hands-on. The students love coming to school. Having an opportunity to play and share different experiences that they are not exposed to at home, will help them learn and socialize. They love working together and learning from one another.
Many of the children in our school come from non-English speaking homes.
School is a great place for them to learn and explore a new language and learn new things.
My Project
The children will come to school excited to learn everyday. They will learn to work together with their classmates by socializing and playing at the same time. The new materials such as hands-on writing manipulatives, games, blocks, and bright colors will help to stimulate them and keep their little minds engaged. The variety of resources such as reading, writing, math, crafts, etc, will keep them busy and intrigued. They will not even realize they are learning and reviewing material taught in class because they will be having fun.
They will look forward to completing their work every day knowing that as a reward they will get to play with all these new manipulatives during Center time.
