In our school we have an average of 1650 students, and we are a Title I school with a diverse population. We educate students who are both socially and economically disadvantaged.
The majority of my students are novice Spanish learners taking Spanish 1 classes.
My students are excited to learn a foreign language as well as know more about the Spanish speaking culture. They know about the importance of learning Spanish a second language and I am passionate about helping them to succeed in this journey.
My Project
Students need fun reading materials to make them excited and eager to immerse in the process of language acquisition.
Students will benefit enormously if they have this wonderful opportunity to choose what interests them the most.
The books that were chosen are a variety of levels that will match their reading skills and be appropriate for their level. Students will also feel accomplished if they get this opportunity to read independently. These books are interesting and also feature a built in dictionary to look up unknown words. I like the simplicity of building a class library using DonorsChoose.org, and I thank greatly any sponsors that would like to benefit my students. Thank you so much!
