Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students in my classroom have a passion for learning, although the method and environment in which they learn lacks the basic educational resources. In my classroom I incorporate a wide variety of learning styles, differentiated instructions & strategies. To name a few; group work, peer tutoring and student led instruction to allow for student ownership. However, you can assist us in obtaining books and technology tools that will benefit students greatly. At the end of the day I just want to see a glow on their face and the drive for success in their heart.

My Project

My students must keep up with the latest advancements in technological education to spark an interest in history. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my middle school students. The students in my classroom enjoy reading historical fiction and novel sequences. My school media center doesn't have a large collection of up-to-date books, so I would like to have digital books at my students reach that will hold their interests and keep them focused in my classroom. With the help of your generous donation to my project my students will be one explore an abundance of historical readings.
