This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are amazing! I teach at a Title l school in the north Memphis. My students work hard at school with an extended day that runs from 8:00 to 4:25 to help bridge learning gaps. I am always amazed by my students creativity and interest in learning and being their best selves.
My students have big dreams and my class is designed to help them meet and exceed their goals.
I teach ACT prep to the entire junior class, the sole purpose of my class is to get kids into the college of their choice . For an hour every day we work on test taking skills and talk about college.
Thank you for your support!
My Project
When practicing for the ACT my students use pencils I provide and as we run through them fast we need more pencils. When we work on the math section the kids enjoy showing their work on white boards, so we need new dry erase markers to replace the dried out ones. Using the white board increases participation, lets me see their work and the children enjoy it more than working with pencil and paper.
By donating to this project you will provide my students tissue to blow their noses instead of using toilet paper.
They are troopers and come to school even when sick so it's nice to have a soft tissue to blow their noses into. By providing tissue this lets the kids focus on their work and raising their ACT score instead of their running noses.
