Ms. Rossi from Chicago IL is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need 4 iPad Airs and 11 Chromebooks, along with a charge station, cases, mouses, headphones, keyboards, batteries, and other accessories to maximize mathematics mastery.

Breaking news: Chicago Public Schools will begin requiring computer science classes as a high school graduation requirement. As an elementary school educator, this means one thing: our students need to start using technology as soon as possible and as often as possible!
At our school, 92% of students are low-income, 25% receive special education services and 33% are English Language Learners.
We live and learn in a Title 1 school in the heart of Chicago. Our students are an excited, ambitious and knowledge-hungry bunch. In our special education classrooms, we are finding that students are learning more than ever before while interacting with technology and getting instant feedback. Their work is differentiated so their confidence can soar as they work and reach new levels of knowledge.
Through this project, we will be able to put technology into the hands of all of our special education students. Our students need Chromebooks and iPads, as well as their protective cases, mouses, headphones, keyboards, batteries and a secure storage locker to keep practicing their math skills on state of the art apps and learning on the very best websites. Learning is meaningful and engaging for students when done with technology. They are able to move fraction bars or use extra-large calculators or explore geoboards or watch KhanAcademy videos in their native language. Students will type their mathematical explanations on Google Classroom and practice their number sense on-line and watch their progress soar. Our teachers are helping our 21st century learners grow and prepare for jobs that do not exist yet. With technology in the hands of every student, we can help students grow in number fluency, confidence and mathematical mastery.
This project means that all students in my school have access to the very best technology that will allow them to transition from practicing solely on paper to using an interactive format that provides real time feedback.
Our special education students will truly be receiving differentiated lessons and engaging with new technology. These students will become proud, tech-savvy high school graduates in the next 5, 10, and 15 years and pave the way for new success.
