My students need seats that help them wiggle and move to keep their minds engaged! They also need filters to dim the harsh fluorescent lights in our room!
Our first-grade classroom is made up of sixteen diverse children. They are diverse in their interests, learning styles, culture, socio-economic status, and abilities! Although we are a diverse group, in our classroom we are all on the same team! I strive to make my classroom a safe place for students to be themselves. I want my students to be excited about school each and every day!
As their teacher, it's my job to create an environment which promotes learning!
I strive to turn my room into an environment in which kids can learn and focus. There are many factors that go into creating the best environment for maximized student learning!
First-grade students love to move and be active. To help engage their minds I want to provide an environment that can help the children focus while still being able to move! In addition to being able to move, appropriate lighting is also necessary to help kids focus!
My Project
These stools will help children be able to move and engage their core during our small group lessons! While allowing their bodies to be able to move, their minds will be actively engaged! In addition, the light filters will dim the harsh fluorescent lights in our classroom. By combining these two tools in our room, students will have a learning environment in which learning will be maximized. Currently, we have a few of the stools in our classroom and they are in high demand by students at their desk. Adding more stools to our classroom will help meet the desires of students to be able to use them during many parts of our day.
