Mrs. H. from NC is requesting flexible seating through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students flexible seating materials that will be used to create an environment where students have choices about learning.

My students arrive with different learning styles and talents. Students often come to school without the needed supplies to be successful in class. The backgrounds of the school community includes English as a Second Language (ESL) learners, homes that have single parents, and students that are homeless. These students possess unique interests and needs. We have recently become a Creative Arts Magnet and will have a great need for additional tools.
Our school is in its fifth year of achieving mastery of the curriculum through Personalized Learning.
With Personalized Learning, lessons are created and modified as students set goals, work at their own pace, and work on organizational skills.
Several hands-on activities will be used to complete tasks. Daily independent tasks require individualized materials.
Students are excited about flexible seating. Throughout the day, they complete all of their assignments using flexible seating. Students are motivated and focused when they have the opportunity to choose work spaces. High quality work, social interaction, and the enjoyment of learning is maximized when students use flexible seating. Students complete daily activities using floor chairs, desks raised on special risers, stability balls, stretch bands, colorful stools, and lap desks. Having additional flexible seating items will add to the enjoyment of learning in my third grade class. Two bean bags will add to the choices that students have when completing tasks.
