My students need yoga mats to ease the discomfort they get while performing and practicing floor exercises such as yoga, core exercises, and exercises that call for the knees to endure body weight pressures.
The area surrounding my students and school has a mixed demographic as far as income levels and cultures. I have students who stay at school as long as possible so they don't have to go home. Being a title 1 school we are often given the leftovers and want them to have the best
A student's environment helps to motivate them to success.
Healthy students are more likely to perform better in academics. Physical Education is a major part of getting students healthy and helping them understand the importance of being healthy. I want to expose students to ways to be healthy through sport, dance, and many other forms of exercise.
Yoga mats are an essential part of our aerobics program as they help with stability and prevent pressure point pain. Students don't want to participate in floor exercises because the floor is too hard and it hurts their knees. Students will be more likely to participate in activities if they can use the yoga mats.
On Fridays, students learn to relax and increase flexibility through practicing yoga positions.
It is hard to relax when your feet are slipping or your have extreme pressure on your joints. Yoga mats will help reduce both issues significantly.
