Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am excited for the next school year because I will be teaching Dual Language in 3rd grade. This will be my first year teaching Dual Language in the classroom. I am happy to be using my first language of Spanish with my students. I think that my next year's students will really flourish if I had more manipulatives for math and science. Especially because research shows that students learn more with hands-on activities.
My students would benefit from these manipulatives because they will explore being mathematicians and scientists.
My students are bilingual and research shows that they learn better with exploration. I think that having manipulatives such as power pens, hex-a-link cubes, dice, and more will increase my students' interest and skills in two of the most important subjects, math and science.
