Mathematics Adventures

Help me give my students a classroom set of graphing calculators so they can all have their own calculator when we are working in class.

My Students

My students are a mix of high school and middle school age students. These students strive to learn each and everyday. They work show their strengths throughout all of there classes. In math class they work hard to use everything they have to push their learning forward and take their education seriously. The students at our high school strive on the fact that they are from a small town, the school is the center of the town and the students are the center of creating that environment. With their drive to learn with each other, discover through group exploration and encourage each other to be the best they can be.

My students love hands on work and being able to connect their work to their everyday lives.

They grab onto any opportunity and run with it to make it their own using creativity and knowledge.

My Project

The students will be able to use these calculators to practice their work in linear and non-linear algebra. It will give students the chance to explore multiple types of graphs. These calculators will help students prepare for their futures, whether that be college level math classes, everyday math in the work place, and some on the job site. These students each deserve to have their own calculator while in class to help them succeed in their mathematical goals. When each student has their own calculator it allows for learning to move forward and each student to have a chance to explore and be the one controlling their exploration.

Students will use these calculators in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, college Algebra, and Real World Mathematics.
