I teach 22 amazing fourth-grade students who are full of energy each and every day! Our elementary school serves students in grades K-4, so next year these students will be in middle school, where independence is crucial! I work with these students all year long on becoming more responsible for themselves, their materials, and our school.
I take pride in my students, as I help them grow to love learning and school.
Though our school is in a rural small town, with over 60% free or reduced-priced lunch, we work as a community to provide for our students and families to ensure the best education possible!
I am so appreciative of your support in helping to foster a positive learning environment and learning experience for these students. They are our future and are very deserving!
My students practice mathematics and literacy concepts and skills every day. I try to include hands-on experiences for the students but sometimes resources are limited. Our school has a 1:1 ratio for students to iPads, so students will be able to use their iPads with the Osmo bases and games to extend their skills. Each game or activity would allow students to dig deeper into math concepts, from fractions with Pizza Co. to coding with Coding Jam! Osmo words would allow students to practice spelling skills too!
These items would provide my students with not only activities at their own skill level, but also challenge their thinking!
Students would be able to use these materials during our math block, reading/writing block, and during Makerspace time as a choice activity. Osmos will be shared among students so students will be practicing life skills such as teamwork and cooperation!
Thank you for investing in my classroom and helping these very deserving fourth-graders!
