I am privileged to work with some of the most incredible children on the planet! Although they are from an area of severe poverty and low socioeconomic status, they have a deep desire for knowledge and inquiry! Please help give them the opportunity to experience the wonder of math and science concepts using updated technology that offers the resources that they need to be successful in their learning environment.
My students are primarily ESOL and special needs and often have very little exposure to technology, math, and science resources at home due to lack of family engagement and language barriers.
The use of technology enhances the retention of STEM, math, and science concepts for these students.
My Project
My students, like all other 9 year olds are completely obsessed with technology and colorful, interactive video games. Why not use that to my advantage and provide them with learning opportunities that speak to their interests. These computers and the math software program will help my students improve their skills while keeping them fully engaged and entertained! This particular software delivers math content in a fun game show-like format that children will beg to use day after day! Please help me and my students become more engaged with their learning in math by providing them with this rich learning experience!
