Our school is located in the suburbs of Atlanta in a very diverse community. Our school's population of students come from all over the world.
Our school is a Title I public school and my classroom alone serves around 100 students.
Many of the students in my classroom are being served in one or more of the following programs: ESOL (English as a second language), Special Education, and TAG (our district's Gifted Program).
Our students work incredibly hard each and every day at school! Every year, I am amazed by the progress the students are making, and the effort they are putting forth in school. I love my job and I feel incredibly blessed to work with such amazing students!
My Project
My students have been working so incredibly hard this year in math class! Unfortunately, a hurricane and an unusually snowy winter has caused my students to miss several days of class instruction this year. The Finish Line Georgia Milestones test prep books will help my students be successful on their state standardized test they take in April regardless of the missed instruction time due to the weather. These books will serve as a resource while we review the seven units of instruction students learn in the 6th grade. These books give higher order thinking questions that are written at a reading level that is appropriate for 11 and 12 year old students.
My students strive to be successful mathematicians!
These resources will allow my students to be successful not only on their state test, but allow my students to master essential every day math skills as well!
