My Students

I teach a group of amazing fifth grade students. They are wonderful, smart, caring, amazing human beings. I want to add to my teaching skills to benefit them. They deserve it.

I have been teaching for 19 years.

I enjoy learning and have added a Master's Degree and several endorsements to my teaching license. I have taught 2nd grade for most of my career and have recently moved to 5th grade. I have taught at the same school the entire time, and I feel fortunate to work with dedicated teachers who care about kids.

My Project

I care about kids and how they learn. I would like to attend this conference to increase my teaching strategies in math. I would like to learn new and better ways to help students SEE the math and understand concepts. Students learn in multiple ways. If I can learn and understand multiple ways of approaching a problem, I can use this knowledge to help my students. Not only will this workshop increase my knowledge, but it will give me an opportunity to meet other teachers who have the same goals.

This workshop will not only help me be more successful as a mathematics teacher, but it will benefit my next class of students and all of those who follow.

I am excited to attend this workshop and share my knowledge with students. Students are the reason I have this great job. My learning will impact their learning in positive ways.
