Help me give my students math materials to help them be successful in Math Workshop. My class is working very hard to master their basic facts, especially their multiplication facts.
My 4th-grade students are awesome kids! They represent many different countries and many of my students are fluent in two languages. My class of 28 students is diverse in many ways. They are a diverse class in who they are, where they come from, the languages they speak, the way they learn, and so much more. I learn so much from my students! They come to me with a wealth of information that they love sharing. I love learning about their cultures, native countries, and languages. We have a wonderful time learning from one another!
My students are thrilled to be back in the classroom, and they are doing so great!
They are kind to each other and help each other be the best they can be. My class loves to read, and they really enjoy read alouds. They are growing as writers now that we are able to write in notebooks again and really practice the writing process in person. Overall, they’re a wonderful group of kids who are loving being back in school in person.
My Project
My class is working so hard in math. They know how important math is and they pay really close attention to the mini lessons so they can be successful when they work independently. One aspect of math that my students need help with is mastering their basic facts, especially in the area of multiplication. The games and manipulatives will be very helpful for small groups and partner games during our math workshop. In addition, many of my students are visual learners, and need help with organizing their math work. The grid paper and whiteboard templates will help tremendously with this skill. We also need a carpet for the front of our classroom. With 28 students, the kids in the back often move up and sit on the floor so they can see the board better during the mini lesson. I am hopeful and confident that these supplies will be immensely helpful to make our math workshop even more effective and help all students be successful mathematicians!
