I work for a Title I school where 80% or more of my students are on free or reduced lunch. We are a rural school but our proud of our hometown. Nothing can be finer than living in Carolina! Despite their circumstances, my students come to school full of life and ready to learn. My students always keep me laughing. They are like my own children, and I treat them that way. It is my desire to provide them every opportunity to make them successful in life.
The Osmos will create a workstation for my students that allows them to work independently and in partners during math time. It exposes them to hands on real life materials that they can use to apply their math knowledge. Osmos create confidence in their independence to complete math tasks. They will allow us to incorporate another technology station during math stations that is hands on. There are many ways to use the osmos such as shapes, numbers, money, counting, and so much more. The possibilities are endless. My students love to do hands on and these will create another way to be hands on in math.
