Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My kids are hard workers, excited to learn, resilient. They come from low income households, 100% of my school receives free and reduced lunch. Despite their challenges they are eager, excited learners who inspire me to be the best educator I can be.

My Project

Teaching mathematics without tools is difficult, as many mathematics concepts are abstract. Kids do no have prior knowledge to fully understand what is being taught. Mathematics mulitputives will help build students procedural knowledge and help them make real life connections to what they are learning.

Hands on manipulatives helps engage all students regardless of their learning styles.

Hands on manipulatives transcends language, ethnicity, and socioeconomics barrier. Please help support my students with these tools. Your generosity will help impact many deserving students. Thank you for your investment in my class.
