My Students

I work at Mandarin and English dual language school where many of my students are bilingual or English language learners. They are hardworking, conscientious, and kind. Some of them are new immigrants to the country and require extra language supports. They are eager to learn and are excited by projects that require critical thinking and self-expression.

My Project

It is an atypical school year that will require blended and remote teaching. Having experienced remote learning for the first time last school year, I remember that sometimes it was a struggle to repeatedly teach students how to upload their work digitally with various platforms or applications. Trying to find effective Youtube tutorials still did not make it clear to them. I hope that with a GoPro Hero 8 and a USB microphone I can personally make tutorials that are also translated for my students to implement technologies. I also want to use it to explain math concepts they struggle with for my bilingual students. Teachers at my school have already created their Youtube channels with videos and I am inspired to do so as well.
