My students need more math manipulatives in our classroom! I am focusing on making math as hands-on as possible! This requires math tools such as counters, dice, tiles, and fraction pieces!
My students are spontaneous, energetic, bubbly, and certainly, have the love for learning! Many of my students are in the midst of overcoming poverty and trying to focus on the day in front of them. Students walk in the doors of my classroom eager to greet me and ready to explore what I have in store for them! It is my ultimate goal to do all I can to inspire and ignite their learning. I hope to use new technology in our classroom for different math and reading small-group tasks! By doing this, I hope to lead students toward academic excellence!
My Project
My students need more math manipulatives to use during math time! Math tools help students help student problem solve and work through difficult equations. It is my goal for math in my classroom to be as engaging to students as possible and hands-on math tools will help with this.
By requesting counters, fraction pieces, colored tiles, and math visuals as a part of this project, I hope to see more of those "light bulb" moments during math.
My vision is for students to be able to access these materials at anytime they feel the need to use them. Math manipulatives will help avoid confusion and help students focus on increasing their learning!
