My students are the brightest around! They are inquisitive and always eager to learn! They love to create projects and learn through hands-on experiences.
I have a very diverse population, which I love!
This makes learning for everyone different than most surrounding schools. We celebrate different diversities, cultures, and traditions. Many of the cultures at my school are very hands-on learners!
Recently we became a STEAM school of America. We are excited to incorporate all aspects of learning into our projects.
My Project
As students learn math they move from concrete to abstract. As a math teacher, I notice that many of my students, even in 5th grade still need concrete support such as manipulatives. I am always on the lookout for creative ways to keep my students engaged in math!
I want math to not only be educational for students but fun and exciting too!
Kids need to be motivated to explore math much like they do science. Hands-on experiences are key to allowing my students the best learning environment for math!
