My students need more math manipulatives to help them become better mathematicians! We can use base ten blocks and cubes to help us with addition and subtraction strategies!
Our school consists of students who are Kindergarten to 5th grade. Many of our students are military affiliated or come from a low income background. Our school continues to grow and is in need of supplies to help accommodate the needs of our students.
We are a STEAM school where students focus on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
We are also an IMPACT school where we focus on the integrations of media and instructional technology. My students learn all core areas of instruction and we emphasize on critical thinking and problem solving. My students are always eager to come to class and ready for a new adventure in the classroom.
My Project
My students work hard to be the best learners they can be each and every day. While learning regrouping with addition and subtraction can be a daunting task for them, with the help of some math manipulatives my students can succeed. We have some math manipulatives we can use but only enough for a couple students to share. This does not make for all students to be successful.
Your generous donation can help my students become stronger mathematicians in the classroom.
They will be able to have more hands-on learning during our math time with the help of math manipulatives. These tools will be able to help learn and have fun while doing it! We would be able to use the base ten blocks and unifix cubes to be able to help my second graders master addition and subtraction. Both of these are important standards my students need to master and having hands-on learning with the base ten blocks and unifix cubes can help my students master these skills.
