Was your high school math class set-up where the teacher just stood in the front of the room? I am trying to change that picture. Through the use of hands-on, engaging projects, I am attempting to make my classroom more student-centered instead of the traditional teacher-centered.
With the help of this grant, my students will gain the knowledge and confidence to succeed on the SAT.
My students range from sophomores to seniors. Our school has over 1,600 students. I will not only use the materials provided through this grant for this year but for many years to come, so the impact of your donation will be great.
My Project
On average, a student who studies test prep for at least 20 hours can improve their SAT scores by 115 points. A higher score for my students not only means a greater chance of being accepted by a school, but an opportunity to earn a scholarship as well. Also, Indiana is shifting to Graduation Pathways, and one of the pathways is to earn a 530 on the SAT. So, I am looking for ways to better prepare my students for this rigorous test.
Help me give my students the materials they need to study for the SAT so that they can further their education after high school.
The SAT study books will allow me to have the knowledge of the SAT to best prepare materials to help my students have best chance to be successful on their test.
