Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come in ready to learn and have fun. Recently we have added 15 minute PE break in the day to get their wiggles out and blood flowing back to their amazing brains. “Words make you think a thought. Music makes you feel a feeling. A song makes you feel a thought.”

My kids are an amazing group of 21 students who are in 3rd grade.
We have EL in our class as well as students who are in learning centers. One thing that every student love and can relate to is music. When we dance in the room I see smiles that will light the world. They love to learn and more importantly they get excited and learn the most when the learning is new and fun. Our school is a nice and safe environment where every student can be their own person.
My Project
“Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or the same way.”- George Evans I look at this quote and think how can I enrich the lives and learning of my children. I love to learn math through music. I am requesting a whole class set of musical instruments. I am planning on using music with my math lessons, and working with times facts. I want them to see that many things go to a beat. Before I can make the understand what that truly means we need to be able to make and feel what a BEAT really is.
Donations of this classroom with improve our classroom in many ways.
First the children will be exposed to the world of music, because music is not offered until 4th/5th grade in our district. Secondly the musical instruments will support our learning while having fun at the same time.
