This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Math can be fun! There are so many different ways math can be made fun. It's not just about working out problems with a pencil and paper.

My classes are full of all types of students.

They enjoy being with each other and love it when they taste a little bit of success. Each student is different and learns in a different style. Using the traditional methods only works for a small percentage of my classes. They want something more engaging, more creative!

My Project

My students understand that everyone can learn to do Algebra, they just need to learn it their way. Some students excel with just practice, others enjoy a more creative way. We create fun posters and drawings to express our math skills. We get to a higher level of learning by creating our own problems or creating puzzles and match-ups to practice our Algebra skills.

Having these supplies will help to show my students that math can be fun.

We can incorporate a variety of activities so that they are engaged and having fun while learning. This will help make my students become critical thinkers and develop their problem solving skills.
