Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from various backgrounds and are from low income families. My students all have various levels of proficiency in math. The majority of my students are multi-sensory learners. They learn best when they receive small group instruction.
Our classroom is in need of chromebooks to help students remain on task and engaged throughout activities.
This upcoming school year we have many students who learn at different paces and it would be beneficial to have technology throughout the classroom as we have different activities occurring throughout the class period. The chromebooks would provide students the ability to work on skills they lack proficiency and gain the necessary access to the materials that they need.
My Project
My students are in need of two chromebooks. The chromebooks will be used in small groups to help them increase their math fluency. The majority of my students are below grade level and need additional supports to increase their fluency. This technology will help them access online learning tools that are readily available to meet their needs.
The two chromebooks will help my students succeed in the classroom and increase their math fluency as they will have continued access to online learning tools.
When in small groups, my students will have access to an ample amount of web based programs that adapt to their needs and help them increase their math skills.
