My Project: My students learn through guided groups for math and reading. Using guided groups I am able to reach students in all levels of learning while providing instruction on individual levels.
My students live in Utah and go to a small school.
Many of my students don't have access to much technology. They are good kids that need more technology. My students are so much more motivated to work on math and reading when they can learn while having fun. Technology is very engaging.
My Project
Something happens when you give a child a camera. What a sense of learning that will be captured and explained with the use of digital cameras! Math, science, and Language Arts lessons will come alive for the children. Students can go on digital scavenger hunts, document changes in science projects, and share activities with pen pals. Students can take photos to write about. What a better way to capture memories of third grade.
Having cameras for small group projects is much more effective than having one for the whole class to share. What a better way to integrate technology into learning. These five digital cameras will make learning meaningful and more personal. Also a colored printer will allow my students to print images they have taken.
Using digital cameras to connect to the curriculum with real life experiences and technology will help prepare my students for the future. Do you remember receiving your first camera?
This project will give my students an opportunity to use technology to enhance their math and reading education while integrating technology.
My students come from an area where few are exposed to technology daily. They get so excited to get the chance to use technology.
