I have a diverse group of students. Each student has a distinct personality and learning style. They bring great attitudes to the classroom and I feel that they all understand the importance of a solid mathematics education.
In my classroom, I have students who bring a wide variety interests, skills, and cultural backgrounds.
My classroom provides rigorous challenges for these students, but they are learning to trust me and trust themselves and it's such a pleasure to watch them grow.
My Project
My students need tables that maximize the space in our crowded classroom. The current furniture is old, broken, and covered in graffiti. The tables are heavy and cumbersome and allow for little creativity when it comes to creating a variety of learning groups/spaces. New tables would allow for my students to sit in multiple arrangements that would maximize their strengths as individual students and improve all students ability to focus on in class lessons.
These tables would allow the flexibility to create working groups of a variety of numbers of students.
There are times in my class, where I would like students to work with partners, but there are also times where I would like small groups to collaborate together.
