Help me give my students these interactive tables! Solving math problems can be tricky, these write-on tables will certainly make that challenge a little less daunting!
My students are little beach bums, living so close to the Atlantic Ocean. We are found in a small town in Southern New Jersey. My fifth grade students are curious about the environment and protecting our beaches. Sandy came through our area and damaged quite a bit of it. My students saw first hand how precious life is, and not just their own. They know the importance of preservation and how to treat their home, Earth. Our school is a close-knit family, we work together to create an environment that is fun and nurturing. Our PTA helps provide many activities for our students that are sure to fill them with wonder. I can honestly say I love going to work in the morning. I never know what the day will bring, but I know I will be amazed!
My Project
Math problems can be challenging for my 5th graders. Keeping track of necessary information proves difficult for young learners. Their scrap paper is all over the place, often without their names! Having a table to use as scrap paper is a perfect tool, keeping student work organized, and making learning fun! Students can use their computers to snap a picture of their colorful work and share it in our Google Classroom! These write-on tables will add a fun and unique work space to my classroom! I know my students will approach mathematics with a handful of colorful markers and illustrate the solutions to their many challenging math problems!
