Help me give my students these needed supplies including mathematic literature books, storage items, chart paper and math manipulatives for our classroom.
I teach in a public kindergarten classroom in Texas. Our elementary school is a Title I campus which means a large portion of our students come from low-socioeconomic families. We have a small and caring community. I have made it a point to build strong relationships throughout the community with their families.
My 18 students are curious, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
They are driven and hardworking and always do their best. They are excited and fearless and deserve to have the best learning environment and supplies.
My Project
These materials are suggested by our math curriculmn and will enhance student focus and learning. The materials will help my students to succeed and even the playing field for each of them. Some materials will also help me stay organized and keep manipulatives in order for each unit.
These materials including literature books, dice, easel pads, organizational baskets, stamp pads, daubers and markers will be used during our math units 1-5 and will increase student engagement and achievement.
Our units will include introducing and developing numerals 0-10, comparing numbers, addition, subtraction, oral counting, mathematic vocabulary and data analysis.
The suggested literature for these units will also help bridge reading and math making these units cross-curricular.
