My students are attending a CCP in Dallas. The focus of our school is to prepare the students for either going to a college or into a career after high school. More than half of the students attending the school come from low-income households.
My students are eager to learn the concepts being taught this year.
In middle school, we are increasing the topics being taught. Having some extra motivation hopefully helps to increase their retention of knowledge and helps them to exceed expectations this year.
My Project
My project is going to be used to create a store for my students. They will keep a check register to keep track of their money and they will be able to earn money through keeping up with assignments, following class procedure, etc.
With this project, students will practice the skills needed to complete their current math content.
Twice a month, students will be able to redeem their earnings at the store This will be a fun way for them to practice and keep up with it and they can earn rewards!
