This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
As in-person learning takes hold, my special education students need mini lab lessons to catch up with skills not acquired during distance learning. This is particularly obvious in math skills where most of my students are behind in grade level skills.
My students need a laptop to be able to access computer platforms such as IXL, ST Math and Nextgen in order to make up their math skills in the lab and pull out instruction.
These math platforms allow students to log in and take baseline assessments, where the teacher can assess/monitor their level of performance and provide guidance as they work through the standards.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
