Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

If this grant is funded, students will be able to have access to Scholastic Math Magazine. With this resource, they will be able to see how math is used in everyday life. They will see how important what they are studying is and realize the importance of it. Our students sometimes forget how important math is. This resource will also increase there literacy as they will get excited about reading about topics that they are interested in. Funding will allow 28 copies of this weekly magazine to be delivered to our school. I will use these 28 copies in all 3 of my math classes and share with my colleagues teaching advanced students and our exceptional staff.
