Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My pre-kindergarten class consists of girls and boys who are energetic and very social. They are smart and super eager to learn. I am excited to see how my class will exceed my expectations this school year in regards to their learning. After teaching in kindergarten and first grade and pre/k , I am 100% sure that PRE/K is my FAVORITE GRADE! It will be a year packed with challenges and lots of new adventures. I am so very thankful for this opportunity.
My Project
The materials I have selected for this project will help expand my math and science learning areas in my pre/k classroom.
The materials selected will help my students stay engaged and motivated during their play based learning stations.
My students love puzzles this year and I have selected several to help them work on number recognition and counting to 20. The science materials selected will help engage them with exploring the world around them. I want to spark curiosity for science this school year.
The materials selected will easily be taught in a small group and then the students will have success working with the materials independently.
