Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
By donating to my project, you will provide a chance for my students to be better prepared come what may. Never running out of materials will allow students to be confident in themselves and on tasks each day ready to work.
You will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component of motivating them. I work at a Title I school; this is a school receiving federal funds for Title I students. The basic principle of Title I is that schools with large concentrations of low-income students will receive supplemental funds to assist in meeting students' educational goals. It is vital that I have enough materials ready for these students to be fully engaged in optimal time. With the cleaning supplies, they will not only feel safe but be safe.
My students are always in need of items to feel prepared when returning to class face-to-face. I have also learned in my years of teaching there are a few things you can never have too many of, pencils, glue sticks, and erasers. Having a backup supply of these will allow me to never run out and always be ready for a student when they are in need of a replacement. I will be providing each student with a pencil pouch stocked with a few starter supplies to get them ready to start the school year. These supplies will help them make their interactive notebooks for class. When students never have to worry about the small things they can focus on the larger things.
