We are a new classroom of 24 amazing, excited little kids! My students come from many different backgrounds. Over half of my students are ELL learners and still trying to learn English. A majority of my students come from a low economic area.
Regardless of their backgrounds, my students love to learn!
The excitement in our room is off the charts. These kids come to school every day ready to learn new things. These sweet kids are the reason I love coming to work each day!
My Project
We are really working on memorizing math facts! My students need some motivating reinforcements when they memorize a math fact family!
Memorization of math facts is key to a firm math foundation!
This will help them throughout their educational career and also throughout their life! My students need some positive and motivating rewards for when they finish a fact family! I have added several different types of candy to use as motivators as they pass each fact family! As they pass through each family they will earn a different type of candy! We are working hard all throughout the week to practice and learn these math facts before the end of our school year. I want my first graders to knock the socks off of their second grade teachers with their endless math knowledge! This candy will be their reward for a job well done!
