Math Memory Through Doodle Notes

My Students

My students are enthusiastic, creative, and fun students. They have lots of energy and passion for life. They ask great questions and want to make our world a better place.

They get most excited about learning when they can really connect with a topic and have hands on experiences.

My school intentionally strives to give students hands on activities (even through distance learning) and create curious learners who ask questions and generate answers.

My Project

Many students struggle to take effective notes and don't know how to utilize notes they have taken. Studies show that students increase focus and memory when they activate both sides of their brains.

One way to do this is through visual note-taking.

Through this project I will provide my students with note taking templates called doodle notes. Templates will be purchased from Math Giraffe through Teachers Pay Teachers.

As part of my math classes, we will focus on creating meaningful notes and utilizing those notes to aid learning. Students will interact with math concepts by organizing notes with pictures, examples, and color. They will create materials they can access to help review concepts as well as demonstrate learning.
