Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are 4 year olds who come to school ready to start building the foundations of their learning. I have a morning and afternoon session which means I teach 40 students with different interests and abilities. They are eager to explore and learn in many different ways even though many of them don't speak English.
The students make every minute count and they are becoming life long learners on the road to reaching their dreams.
Their school day is only 3 hours so they need to get the most of every learning experience I can offer them.
My Project
The end of the year is quickly approaching and the students need to continue to learn math everyday.
This project will provide hands on materials to help students learn and solidify their understanding of math.
The jumbo two color counters will help students easily see the skill that I am presenting on the mat. Also, the large unifix cubes will help the students see what I am presenting. Lastly, the color maze will help students continue to work on understanding how to sort items.
All these products will help students finish out the year strong as they get ready for kindergarten and begin their life long journey in learning.
