My Kindergarten students are wonderful children who have a passion to learn and are thrilled to be in their first year of formal schooling. They love coming to school each day to see what new and exciting things they are going to learn. I have over twenty students who all consider themselves to be friends and they enjoy helping each other and cheering on one another's successes and accomplishments.
I feel passionate about my kindergarten students getting the basic tools they need to be young mathematicians!
My kindergarten students love to learn new math concepts and they especially love to use their hands and "play and explore" with interactive manipulatives. By using these interactive math materials, they will better learn the concepts such as counting, number order, and using different number representations. My students love to be challenged and they learn best when using hands on tools. These materials are great for independent or small group centers and also as a review for previously learned concepts. My students may not have the option to use materials like this outside of school so this will further help make learning math exciting!
