My students need dice, counting chips, and unifix cubes in order to meet national common core math standards that I am required to teach to increase student learning.
This project expired on July 4, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
When was the last time you used math in your daily life? Please help my students understand the importance of math in their lives by donating math materials to my classroom.
My school is a Title I school with many students on free and reduced price lunches.
My students come from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds with an increasing number of English language learners. By providing these math materials you will be helping all of my students become better prepared to face the mathematical challenges they will encounter throughout their lives.
With these math materials, I will be able to help my struggling learners better understand math concepts, such as fractions by using the Unifix cubes. The dice and counters can be used in a variety of areas including patterning, grouping, sorting, probability, multiplication, and division.
Your donations to this request will make a tremendous difference in the education of my students.
Math is a skill that they will use the rest of their lives and it is my job to help them reach this goal. Please help provide these manipulatives by contributing to my math materials project.
