My class is a great group of local neighborhood kids. They live in a suburban area and we are developing personalized learning for every child. We work as a classroom community to build an accommodating team of young children and future independent leaders of the community.
This group of children is an amazing little team with big hearts ready to embark on our journey together through second grade.
They are full of spirit and light and bring joy to the classroom everyday. This group is helpful and kind and are from all different walks of life. They are always ready to learn and create.
My Project
My students are highly focused on Mastery learning. We are learning how to unpack and fully understand math and reading standards before we move to the next topic.
These manipulatives will continue to aid in our further math understanding and development with hands-on opportunities.
As a class we are working to find multiple ways to learn math concepts and build a deeper understanding. We need bingo chips and coins. I am new to teaching second grade and continually finding manipulatives that would be very helpful in clearly communicating and explaining our standards. These tools will add another tool to help in this clear communication.
