Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students will learn new math strategies through the use of hands on activities to help them become “Math Marvels” in problem solving activities. Math skills are often difficult for young students to internalize and apply. They are super excited when I take out new math games and together we learn through playing games. They love to win and “Marvel” me with their knowledge.

They will be engaged in learning basic skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division as they play fun math games.

They also will build confidence in math concepts that are often abstract to them.
