My students need math manipulatives and tools and they will greatly benefit from the document scanner because I can enlarge the worksheet and project it onto the smartboard where we can work simultaneously on it.
I am a teacher in a low-income high poverty school district. My students are faced with many challenges inside and outside of school. My goal is to ensure that every student is given the materials and resources needed to learn.
I greet every student by name at the door with a smile because I want each student to feel important.

My Project
Math skills are important for every student to have. By providing my students with the tools and manipulatives, they will have a great chance of obtaining more information.
The power pen tools are wonderful because students can self check themselves.
They will be able to answer the problem and know right away whether it is correct or not. Repetition is huge when it comes to learning new skills.
The document scanner will give me the ability to scan the worksheet and then bring it up on the smartboard and I can work through it with them at the same time while they are able to visually see what to do and how to do it and that is huge for the visual learners.
