I teach about twenty-four students in my Kindergarten class at an elementary school in St. Ann, MO. They are a diverse crew that come from different backgrounds. Not one student is the same.
They persevere everyday in our classroom, whether it's academically, socially, or emotionally.
They LOVE learning and are always looking to know more!
Students celebrate what they learn everyday in Kindergarten! They know that our classroom is a safe space to try new ideas and take chances.
The math manipulative materials will be used in a variety of ways during our math time. One way is that students will be given the opportunity to decompose and compose numbers. Students will be able to engage in a variety of math games which will help them develop their mathematical thinking. Furthermore, students will be able to gain more number sense knowledge.
Students will be able to have more hands-on experience when engaging with these different tools.
Hands-on experiences in Kindergarten help students develop skills faster. Students also feel more engaged and enjoy the learning process more.
