This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the most amazing little learners! They come to school eager to learn and are excited to complete each day's challenges. Our classroom is made up of twenty-nine diverse learners, eighteen girls and eleven boys.

These students come from a low income community and strive to do their best each and every day!

My goal, my school's goal, is to give them every opportunity to grow and succeed as learners and individuals; and they are up for the challenge!

My Project

Math is an exciting time of our learning each and every day! I have learned that students learn best and truly understand with visuals. Last year, a generous Donor Choose donor donated the Giant fraction Strips and Circles. My students have exceeded my expectations in their learning and understanding of fractions; I very much attribute this understanding to these manipulatives.

To ensure they continue to learn and understand in future math modules, I would love to use these manipulatives!

This project consists of Giant Magnetic Money for our decimals unit, Giant Multisided Dice to use during our Math reviews and games, and the Giant Magnetic Geometric Shapes for our Geometry unit.
