Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a blended pre-school program in my awesome hometown! My students come from the area I grew up in. We have 18 students in the AM, 18 students in the PM. 3 of our students in both sessions have IEPS. I love working with the kiddos and watching them grow. Our kids have one hour of unstructured play and 30 minutes of gross motor time. Our kids love to explore, learn and play! Preschool is the place to be!

My Project

Our classroom is a bustling and busy place. Our students are 3, 4 and 5 years old so it is crucial to develop early mathematics skills in all our learners so that they will not only be successful for kindergarten, but later in life.

By acquiring new mathematics toys, I can begin to better build and support my student's sense of numeracy, number identification and counting skills.

My student's love to play and by providing these new materials in my classroom, my students will have new opportunities to learn. I look forward to being able to play, count and sort with the new toys!
