My Students

I teach Math and Science to 45 enthusiastic 4th graders ranging in age from 9-11 with a wide range of learning abilities and levels. This is their first year to have more than one teacher, as they rotate every 45 minutes. This has been an exciting time for them as they are becoming more independent.

My students are eager, motivated, and over-all outstanding citizens.

I am trying to teach my students to be good citizens in this ever changing world.

My Project

The manipulatives will allow students to bridge the gap from textbook to hands on learning. Covid-19 has detoured teachers from using manipulatives when the students are working from home. I am trying to integrate more hands on manipulatives into my every day lessons in the classroom to bridge the gap. The storage cubes will allow me to keep the manipulatives neat and organized for easy sanitizing and easy access to the students in my classroom. I want to have math manipulatives at an arms length for my kids to use for extra practice or even struggling students!
