I am a brand new preschool teacher and will have 16 incredible student explorers. I know my students will come into this school year ready to explore through play and guidance.
The children are 4 years old and need hands-on experiences in order to understand their world.
All of my babies come from low income homes and may have more challenges than most other 4 years olds. No matter what their home lives may be, I vow to provide the best Pre-K experience that I can. I want to strive to make my room safe, engaging, and fun.
My Project
Your donations would provide math supplies that will be utilized throughout the entire Pre-K 4 year. The materials will provide important hands-on learning that will encourage a deeper understanding of concepts such as counting to 20, basic patterns, shape recognition, and color recognition while using fun manipulatives. This opportunity to investigate on their own using manipulatives provides an opportunity that cannot be presented in any other way, verbal or written.
Researchers have proven time and time again that preschoolers need to have hands-on experiences in order to learn these concepts that they will use throughout their lives.
I believe these math manipulatives would not only provide a clearer avenue for learning but also give them more opportunity to practice skills so desperately needed for success.
