This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This school year, I am teaching at a new school and a new grade level! I will be teaching third grade for the first time. I'm excited to work with a new group of students ages 8-9 years old. I work at a neighborhood school in Denver near Central Park with awesome families and students. I am so lucky to be in an area with such an incredibly diverse population. Almost all students in our classroom are bilingual and represent different cultures. My students' love for learning and reading has been so inspiring. This year the students are loving to read books in both English and Spanish. Many of the books in our classroom have been inspiration for students to write their own short stories and comic books!

Having a variety of learning tools and materials can better accommodate the needs of every student.

This includes visual learning, digital, and hands-on learning. Giving the students an opportunity to explore topics helps them establish a curiosity and a strong foundation for learning.

My Project

This project includes a variety of math games and tools to help support students learning my the classroom. These games are varied in age and skill so that students can play and learn. This project was inspired by a few of my students who are always looking for "MORE" math when their work is finished. While I have some games and help create a few I want to make sure they're being challanged on new skills in our grade level and beyond. This project offers games and activities to encourage and support play and learning together!
