My Students

My students are outstanding. They are students who don't necessarily come from a great background, but against all odds, they strive to learn. These resources will provide my students will the opportunity to have hands on learning every day during math instruction.

These students might not have consistency in their lives with the exception of teachers and what school brings them.

They want to come to school, be the best, and work hard each and every day. They have the knowledge inside to do great things, now we just need the resources and materials to do so!

My Project

A huge part of mathematics is understanding common mistakes or misconception as well as using the eight mathematical practices. The Spot the Error Cards give students ways to find errors in a problem and fix their own errors using both skills.

Higher Order Thinking Skills are essential to building up math.

These cards provide students an opportunity to explore at a higher level. Teachers can use these cards to explicitly teach lessons or use as centers. With this project each grade will be able to have their own set of manipulatives and hands on exploration of this concept, which is not only helpful but essential to learning math.
